Mediation and Arbitration Services

Mediation and Arbitration are forms of alternate dispute resolution.  Alternative Dispute Resolution ("ADR") refers to any means of settling disputes outside of the courtroom.

Mediation is an informal process where a neutral third party attempts to reconcile the parties' differences before proceeding to arbitration or trial.  Oklahoma District Courts usually require parties to mediate their case before a trial date will be assigned.

Arbitration is a process where a neutral third party hears evidence, determines applicable law, and renders a decision on the merits of the case.  The Arbitrator's decision is usually considered binding but can be appealed through the court system.

Our lawyers are skilled negotiators, experienced in developing compelling presentations and persuasive arguments.  A successful mediation or arbitration allows our clients to effectively and efficiently resolve legal disputes while maintaining control over the outcome.

In addition to the representation of our clients, two of the Firm's directors serve as neutral mediators and arbitrators.  David Cole and John Hargrave have over sixty combined years of civil litigation experience and have litigated hundreds of jury trials.  This experience uniquely qualifies them to objectively evaluate cases.  As a result, their services as mediators or arbitrators have resulted in the fair and efficient resolution of hundreds of disputes.  If you are interested in retaining Mr. Cole or Mr. Hargrave to serve as a mediator or arbitrator, please contact either of them directly at 405-272-0322.
